The Ten Session Series

The basic Rolfing treatment traditionally consists of a ten session series, generally spaced one to three weeks apart. Each session has specific goals so that no two sessions are the same. The sessions follow a systematic, logical order, building on each other and focusing on a different segment of the body each time.

If you are curious about Rolfing but are not sure you want to commit to the whole series, it is recommended that you try at least two sessions. This will give you a chance to experience the cumulative effects of the work and determine if you would like to continue into the deeper sessions. Rolfing is an individual process and some may find that more or even fewer than ten sessions are sufficient. After completing a basic series, many clients find it beneficial to receive additional work to support or continue their healing process.
